These instructions are based on Nokia N95 8gb paired with Mac OS Leopard. I'm also subscribed to Globe so if you are a Smart or Sun subscriber, your APN and telephone number are different. Please call their customer service hotline first.
Globelines broadband, being a pain in the a** made me resort to desperate attempts to go online.
On I went to subscribe myself to Globe's Mobile Surfing Plans.
Even tried to upgrade our plan just to see if they will give us more attention since we will be paying higher rates monthly.
And now, I explored and tried to use my Nokia N95 as a modem.
So please bear with me as I try to do my first how-to post:
Step 1
Plug in your N95 via USB Cable and choose PC Suite once a message prompts on your N95 screen.
2
On your Mac, click on OK when "new network preferences" window appears

3
Name it any wat you like it, it doesn't really matter.

4
In the Telephone Number box, key in these digits *99***1# then click on Advanced

5
Under the Modem Tab, make usre to choose Nokia as your vendor. And modem is GPRS (GSM/3G. For APN, type in internet.globe.com.ph
Click OK

6
Once you are back on the main Network window, click Apply.
You are now ready to connect!

Depending on your setting, Globe charges you Php 5 for 15 minutes for time-based.
If you are under mobile surfing plan, you can still use your free hours and in excess of that is .33 cents per minute.
Happy surfing!
